Pelham Saddlery is a family owned business which was purchased in 1983 as a feed and grain store called Beaver Valley Farm, which still serves as a full service feed and grain store. The owners have owned and ridden horses for 18 years and have worked in the veterinary, medical and engineering professions.

After having behavioral problems with one of their horses, which could not be attributed to a physical problem, the owners began to educate themselves in the fine art of saddle fitting. Their personal experiences, while working with master saddlers and veterinarians, in solving their own problems have provided the basis for their understanding of the importance of basic saddle fit, as it relates to the performance of the horse. Their customer's (both 2-legged and 4-legged) satisfaction is the cornerstone of a very successful saddle and tack business.

As a result of the popularity of the service provided by the tack shop, it grew out of its location at the feed store and now resides at it's present location where it better services its customers. Horses may trailer-in to be privately fit to a new saddle or may have it's current saddle retrofit. Our sales personnel are experienced horse owners and highly qualified saddle technicians.
