A family owned and run business .The Company was started in 1902 by J.W Allison, a butcher, using the skins from the butchery to make harnesses for farmers.
Over the years the business has had several owners. For the past 11 years, since 1991, it has been owned by the Shaw family. Coming from a riding background and competing internationally, the family has a good understanding of peoples riding needs.
Allison's Saddlery carries one of the widest ranges of equestrian items for almost all equestrian disciplines. There is also a workshop and factory facility to do repairs and manufacturing of, not only equestrian goods, but also shoes, bags and other leather items.
Allison's aim is to offer as wide a range as possible to their clients, with the best possible service, at a competitive price.
Allison's is synonymous with the “white horse” which stands on the shop floor. The horse, which was built in the United Kingdom, is rumoured to be older than the shop.
